Kelly Greenwood Prather
Ms. Prather represents individuals who have been injured by careless and dangerous persons and companies. Ms. Prather graduated in 1989 from McCullough High School in The Woodlands, Texas. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Texas in 1993 followed by a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Houston Law Center in 1996. Ms. Prather was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 1996.
She started her career working for John M. O’Quinn, one of the most successful and famous trial attorneys in the nation. After three years working with John M. O’Quinn she joined Mike Engelhart in his law practice, where they enjoyed a successful law practice for thirteen years as Engelhart and Greenwood, L.L.P. In 2008, Mike Engelhart was elected to the 151st Judicial District Court of Harris County, Texas and, thereafter, Ms. Prather founded The Greenwood Prather Law Firm, P.L.L.C., surrounded by a great support team.
Ms. Prather has extensive trial and arbitration experience. She has represented and obtained compensation for over a thousand individuals who have been injured by the careless actions of others. Ms. Prather is especially passionate about recovering compensation for clients injured by reckless and indifferent healthcare professionals.
Texas Super Lawyer has repeatedly named Ms. Prather a Texas Super Lawyer. She graduated from Gerry Spence’s Trial Lawyer’s College in 2003; an intensive one-month trial skills program to which only 50 lawyers a year are invited to attend.
She is a member of the Texas Bar Foundation and supports the Houston Bar as an officer and board member of the Houston Bar Association Auxilliary.
Ms. Prather is married to Mike Prather, an attorney with Walker, Wilcox & Matousek, L.L.P. They have one son, Parker, who attends The Kipling School.
